Just what is it that Council is ACTUALLY giving away?

• The York Park Stadium and re-named 'University of Tasmania Stadium' for no remuneration for naming rights; and 

• The clubrooms etc and function rooms reportedly donated by Gunns – an iconic Launcestonian enterprise in Launceston's history: and 

• The second football ground which includes North Launceston Football Clubrooms;  and 

• The historic grandstand relocated from the main ground etc.; and 

• Land, the remnant of the old cycling track minus the part already gifted to UTAS; and

• Elizabeth Gardens along Invermay Road and that is not even a sports facility; and

• That includes the incomplete Tasmanian Workers’ Memorial, [LINK 2] an Australian Monument, largely donated by Unions Tasmania , Gunns and private contributors: and

• Not forgetting palawa/pakana peoples' ownerships and interests this 'place' for a moment given that it was for them as a part of 'ponrabbel' and arguably the most fecund place in lutruwitaTASMANIA before its colonial decimation and its terra nuillius imaginings; and
